강좌 개요

Transistor/ Op-Amp와 같은 아날로그 소자들을 이해하기위해 Gakken SX-150과 같은 간단한 아날로그 신디사이져를 만들며 VCO/VCA/VCF/Envelope Generator 모듈들을 이해한다. 또한 ableton live와 같은 프로그램에서 MIDI 신호를 받아 음을 재생하기위해 MIDI-to-CV도 직접 만들어 본다.

본 수업은 악기 제작 이외에도 아날로그 전자 악기의 역사와 그와 함께한 음악가들의 이야기도 공유한다. 이를 위해 현재 활동 중인 뮤지션들의 특강과 시연도 같이 준비하였다.

수강생들은 아날로그 신디사이져 구동원리와 더불어 수업과 특강에 등장하는 악기들과 그 이야기들을 위키(Wiki)에 정리하여 데이터베이스를 구축한다. (아날로그 전자 악기와 문화 아카이빙 작업)

*선수과목
-소리에 대한 기본적인 이해필요( 주파수 / 필터링 / 하모닉스 / 등등)
-기본적으로 납땜, 회로도 읽기, eagle CAD로 PCB만들기, Arduino 사용경험, 옴의 법칙 이해 등이 필요합니다.
-해당사항이 없는 분은 면접을 통해 수강 여부를 결정합니다.
-본 수업은 추가로 스터디할 시간이 많이 요구됩니다.

*준비물
-납땜관련 장비들 ( 납 / 인두 / 핀셋)
-SMPS 전원( 약 3만원 )
-각종 오디오 케이블
-빵판
-이후 다른 부품들은 수업시간에 공지합니다.
-부품비 약 15~20만원 소요 예상

강사 소개

송호준 / www.hhjjj.com
송호준은 기술의 틈새를 발견하고 조합하기를 즐겨하는 예술가이다. 그는 그 틈을 발견하여 사회 비평 수단으로 이용하기도 하고 아름다움을 표현하기 위한 물감으로 이용한다. 마이크로프로세서, 센서, PCB디자인, 알루미늄 등이 그가 즐겨 쓰는 물감이고 새로운 배합을 위해 그의 스튜디오(Studio hhjjj)에서 지속적인 실험을 하고 있다. 다수의 그룹전에 참여하였고 2번의 개인전을 하였다. 현재는 극한기술을 이용하고 구현하여 이야기를 만들어 내는 작업들을 하고 있으며 “이 세상에서 가장 강력한 무기”, “방사능 보석”, 그리고 “오픈 소스 인공위성 프로젝트” 등의 프로젝트를 진행하고 있다.
