Future of Food @ MIT medialab
While I visited MIT medialab in 2005 as student representative of medialab’s one of the corporate sponsors, I had a chance to attend “Future of Food” forum hosted by prof. Ted Selker. It was very informal and we talked about various kinds of feasible future foods.
I remember I suggested “Jarin-gobi” type of food. We have an anecdote about “Jarin-gobi”, who saved side dishes for rice by looking at salty fish that’s hangin’ above the dinner table.
You see some foods, you imagine, and you might feel corresponding spices.
Make video clips for spices that are considered harmful when taken too much, play them as you eat foods as much as you want.
Need more salt? Play video clips for salty foods!
Need more sugar? Play video clips for well.. sugar donut!
